A recent teddy bear cake! Or as I like to call them ‘party boyzz’. One of the positives I’ve found from our current situation is rediscovering kids cakes. For so long I felt like I couldn’t do them, I was so comfortable in my wedding cake box I neglected other cakes! And I have fallen in love with small kids cakes, there is so much room for fun and lightheartedness in kids cakes and I’ve been enjoying it so much. Well, here she is! My OWN WEDDING CAKE! I know you were probably expecting more, but let’s be real, it was a backyard wedding for 20 I had to keep it under control. I just wanted a cake that was timeless, simple, fun and just looked delicious! But of course, the buttercream was pink, but a pastel pink. I smothered it in @piccolofarm edible flowers and home grown passionfruit. The bottom tier was a gluten free carrot cake, middle tier chocolate caramel crunch and top tier vanilla cake with passion fruit buttercream and raspberries. Yesterday I got to feel like what it’s like on the other side of the curtain! Thank you all for your messages, it means so much. It was both the most nerve wracking and amazing day of both our lives. We are introverts so we were shaking in our boots! But @erinwoodhallcelebrant got us through it and @juddric was such a calming influence behind the camera! I gave @mrsgibbonsflowers total freedom and clearly, she nailed it because of course she would. @theperfectpartyco painted a bar pink for me! @septembercreative made the most amazing signage for us (and is a great pal❤️) @gingerandgoldbridal made my skirt dreams come to life! @thebeautycase made me feel like Beyoncé. @tildeath_events set up for us on the day and helped me endlessly. @goldweddinghire helped last minute with my gold cutlery dreams. @winendinem I loved laying in bed last night eating a second helping of your amazing food, and also eating it for lunch and now dinner again. #brisbanewedding #wedding
